Powerstax plc is a rapidly expanding organisation with more than ½ of our employees being electronic or mechanical engineers, clearly demonstrating our commitment to research, development and design excellence. ISO9001 approved, the Company is located on a high-tech business park at Unit B5, Armstrong Mall, Southwood Business Park, Farnborough, Hampshire, GU14 0NR, close to the airfield famous for its international airshow. The premises are adjacent to a major motorway, 30 minutes drive from Heathrow International Airport, and 45 mins from Central London. Samples, prototypes and low volumes are produced in the UK.

In early 2006 an additional Research and Development satellite office became operational. Dedicated exclusively to engineering and development of Powerstax’s own AC, DC and Custom power solutions, the new 950SqFt (88m2) unit is 33 miles from the main Powerstax office.  

The new Powerstax Barnham facility is 1 mile (1.6Km) south of the main A27 south coast trunk road between Worthing and Chichester. It is 1/2 mile (0.8Km) from the nearby Barnham railway station.

Volume Production Facilities
Powerstax has a tried and tested relationship with a Hong Kong manufacturer who has a production facility located in DongGuan, China. The plant is a modern, purpose built facility with Quality Assurance Approval to ISO9001:2000 standard and approved by most well known product safety approval entities. The company has a team of professional executives and substantial workforce having extensive management, manufacturing and design experience from their many years of involvement in the electronics & power supply industries.
Quality
Powerstax plc enthusiastically embraces a fully co-ordinated quality system, designed to enhance primary functions in all areas and achieve a consistently high level of performance through department integration. The system is structured to review, check and continuously improve. The quality management system is in accordance with quality standard ISO9001. Lloyds Register Certification (LRQA) to ISO9001 was achieved in July 2002 with certification to the new BS EN ISO9001:2000 standard in November 2003.

WEEE & RoHS Directives
WEEE and RoHS compliancePowerstax plc Powerstax plc has always been concerned with environmental issues by developing high efficiency AC-DC and DC-DC conversion power products.
The European Union’s (EU) RoHS Directive 2002/95/EC “Restriction of Hazardous Substances” restricts the use of specific hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment placed on the market from July 1st 2006.
Powerstax plc is committed to complying with the RoHS Directive, as of June 1st 2006.

Powerstax has a modern engineering design department with highly qualified electronic and mechanical engineers, using advanced 3D CAD and computer based circuit design and development systems. A fully equipped product development department enables pre-production engineering and prototyping to minimise the time to full production.
